Registered Veterinary Technician
Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation Practitioner

With a lifelong passion for animals of all shapes and sizes, Ellen decided to follow her passion and attend the Veterinary Technician Program at Sheridan College. She graduated in 2013 and became registered shortly after. She worked for several years as an RVT in a small animal clinic in Scarborough where she created lasting bonds with patients and clients.

Though she enjoyed clinic work, when she was accepted in the Companion Animal Physical Rehabilitation program at Northern College in 2020, she welcomed the opportunity to evolve and advance her career in veterinary medicine. After an intense year of studying, she graduated with distinction in June 2021.

Excited to be a part of the veterinary rehabilitation world, she is happy to be learning from the team at Four Paws and to experience the rewarding feeling of helping injured and geriatric patients and their owners who so diligently care for them.

She has owned many pets throughout her life including guinea pigs, rats, hamsters, birds, cats and her first dog and beloved husky, Xavier. Currently she shares her home with Kirby the cat and Squeaky P and Spinky the guinea pigs. She plans to adopt another dog in the near future.

When not at work, Ellen enjoys spending time with her animals and her family, walking, hiking and watching old sitcoms. She has also recently taken up horseback riding again after a long break.
