Veterinary Technician

Katie has been a returning member of the Four Paws team throughout various phases of her educational career. She completed her Bachelor’s degree in Zoology and Nutrition from the University of Guelph in 2019, and has recently graduated from the Veterinary Technician program at Seneca College with high honours. She began her career as a technician in small animal medicine, but rehabilitation has always had a special place in her heart.

Katie has a passion for geriatric patients, and takes great pride in getting the chance to make a positive impact in their lives. She has had the opportunity to work with various species, and is always blown away by the amazing impact that rehabilitation has. Katie is interested in further exploring the role that nutrition plays in aiding with mobility and injury prevention, and has a growing interest in pain management. She hopes to be able to use a variety of factors to result in the best possible outcome for each pet. The positive outcomes for the animals, and for their amazing families, is what inspires Katie to continue to pursue a career in rehabilitation.

Katie currently has two very fluffy fur babies, Charlie and Zoe. When she is not at the beach with her doggos, you can find Katie biking, running, or baking goodies!
